Make Your Resume Stand Out

Your resume is the first impression a potential employer will gain of you. If your resume is dull and does not grab attention then there is a good chance that your job application will be thrown away, along with hundreds of others. To truly stand out from the pack you not only need the qualifications and experience for the job but also a resume that sells you. Here is more on the outline of a resume.
It is so easy to create a resume these days thanks to the power of the internet. Some job search sites have pre-made resume templates that you can simply fill in with your own details and send off to as many job openings as you wish. Whilst it is easy to do this, it is always preferable to take the time to create your own custom, personalized resume. The employer probably receives hundreds of the template resumes and grows tired of viewing them. If a resume pops up that is significantly different from the others then they are very likely to pay more attention to it.more info

Surgical Tech Jobs

Being a surgical technician is not an easy job. They must be able to stand for long hours and remain alert at all times. Obviously, given the nature of the job they must also be able to tolerate blood, gore, and other unpleasant sights and smells. There is also a possibility of being exposed to contagious diseases. Surgical tech training is in depth and takes up to 2 years. The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs recognizes over 450 training programs across the country. Classes include anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, professional ethics, and medical terminology. In addition to class work students work in a clinical setting to learn how to handle and sterilize instruments, prep patients, prevent and control infection, handle drugs and equipment, and ensure patient safety.

Certification is available from Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist. Techs must graduate from a CAAHEP-accredited training program and take a national certification exam. To keep their certification they must take 60 hours of continuing education every 4 years or retake the exam.

The National Center for Competency Testing also offers certification. Techs must graduate from an accredited program, go through a 2 year on the job hospital program, or have 7 years or more of experience in the field. Certification must be renewed every 5 years.

71% of surgical technician jobs are in hospitals. The remaining 29% are in medical offices and centers that offer outpatient surgery. Job prospects in this field are good and growing rapidly. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics job openings for surgical techs are expected to increase by 25% by 2018, with the strongest job growth in doctors offices and outpatient medical centers. Techs who are certified and willing to relocate will do best. The median pay rates for surgical technicians is around $38,740 with the highest paid techs making around $54,300 and the lowest about $27,510. With a large segment of Americans aging and the resulting rise in surgical procedures, this is a field that will offer a lot of job security. blog info

Pharmacy Technician Salary: Knowing Ones Worth

Pharmacy Technician Salary: Knowing Ones Worth

What position generally pays you upwards of $27,710 with little more than a certificate and a years worth of education post high school? And, while other positions are shrinking, this job looks to have an expected growth of about 70 percent in the next few years? Give up yet? Pharmacy technicians are increasingly in demand and pharmacy technician salaries are above the national average, as are the benefits and potential for advancement. Beyond the salary considerations, however, one must consider the other, often financial benefits involved.

The lowest paid pharmacy technician in 2009 made $10.95 an hour. Some of the highest paid, ironically located in the small city of Lake Havasu, Arizona, made $18.43 or about $38,330 a year. Considering the minimum wage in America in 2009 was only $7.25, (or $15,080 a year, in case you were wondering) this is considerable. One might speculate that the increase in pharmacy tech salary ranges might have something to do with the increasing demands of the field, as much of America is now graying. As the numbers of senior citizens increases, so too the demand for pharmacy technicians. In this respect, one can be sure that there will be more of a demand for positions to be filled, and, as demand increases, so too does salary. company info

Is having an indoor cat bad for my health – Animal Veterinary London

I really like my cat I have had her for more than a month and i enjoy being around her she is barely like 8 weeks and i am just concerned is there any way mi kitten can affect me health?
Should I be looking at taking her to an animal veterinary clinic in london or some animal hospital to ensure that she doesn’t have one of the odd types of diseases which are capable of effecting humans?
I just don’t know but I have heard rumours about a virus that is capable of influencing the behaviour of both cats and humans in its attempt to propogate.

Va Va Va Voom!

I’m a big fan of Dita von Teese (isn’t everyone?) and have always wished to have custom corsets like hers. I’ve been looking for corset makers that have a style and taste level that are above average. Electra Designs has the most beautiful steel boned, tight lacing corsets I’ve seen on the market and makes me think that if I’m going to get a corset, it should be one of hers.
